Talbots Scholarship Helps Women Return to School

Are you a convicted felon looking for grants or scholarships to return to school? Are you a woman who has an interest in fashion or other industries that pertain to female interests? If so, you’ll want to consider applying for the Talbots scholarships program funded by the Tablots Charitable Foundation.

While we have no personal experience with this college scholarship program, it does appear that any woman, of any age and any background, can apply for the scholarship award. This means, if you have a felony conviction, there may be no discrimination against you as the application for scholarship entry does not ask about background in this nature.

Many women, especially women who are disadvantaged, find that niche scholarships like this are often most suited when trying to start their lives over again. So, if you have a felony conviction, and if you need Pell Grants for 2012, be sure to also consider the many opportunities to secure scholarships throughout your education experience.

Even if you do not qualify for the Talbots scholarship program this year, continue to apply year after year. Also, be sure to fill out your FASFA form to ensure you are considered for other financial aid opportunities for the coming school year.
With a felony conviction on your record, education will be vitally important to ensuring you can obtain a career in a new field of your choice and the financial aid will not only provide a way to pay for school but also provide additional funds for personal expenses.
